The new year is usually filled with resolutions: resolutions that are usually broken a few months into the year.... sometimes earlier. This year I made a resolution: to read through the entire Bible, in chronological order. Though it may be hard, I plan to do it. Each week (or day - I haven't decided) I will post the Bible reading for that day so that anyone who wants to can read along too.
I hope you all have a wonderful new year filled with God's love. Just think: This could be the year that the Lord comes back!
Thank you all for following my blog this past year.
A Sister through Christ,
Michaila

Here are my seven random things:
1. I am afraid of spiders! it's not as bad anymore, but I used to be terrified. Once, at my friends camp, I saw one in her bath tub that was the size of a half dollar. I backed slowly out of the room and fainted dead on the floor. =(
2. I have never colored my hair. So many people have asked me if I have gotten blond or auburn highlights in my hair, but I have not. It's natural!
3. I can't ice skate. I live in Maine and yet, I can not ice skate.
4. I have lived in 4 houses in the last 2 years.
5. When I was younger, I could write my full name, while holding the pen with my toes. (I saw it on a movie and had to try it.)
6. I love sending my friends and family e-cards! (I'm not so sure that they love receiving them...)
7. Almost every time that I go to write the word receiving, I spell it recieving.... (E before I, E before I...)

The Greatest Christmas Tree
Shepherds came to worship Him
Wise men came from afar
But the light that they were seeking,
was more than just a star
He was Heaven's gift
sent down to earth
Mary's little boy
Wrapped there in swaddling clothes
was peace, and love, and joy
There's never been a greater gift
God gave His only Son
To whom extended mercy
and grace to everyone
The reason why this King would come
be born within a stall
Was to die for me at Calvary
The greatest Christmas tree of all
From a stable in Bethlehem
to a cross upon a hill
Praying "Father, please not my will, but thine to fulfill"
From the safety of a virgin's womb to be hung on Calvary
Where the light of the world decorated
the greatest Christmas tree
The soldiers that nailed Him there,
no beauty could they see,
yet an ornament of love,
they were hanging on that tree
No ribbons, no angel top
just a thorny crown
And the gift He gave to all the world
was His blood
flowing down
From a stable in Bethlehem
to a cross upon a hill
Praying, "Father, please not my will, but thine to fulfill"
From the safety of a virgin's womb to be hung on Calvary
Where the light of the world decorated
the greatest Christmas tree
From the safety of a virgin's womb
to be hung on Calvary
Where the light of the world decorated
the greatest Christmas tree.

Well, I'm not sure why, but I can't post any comments.... So....
for those of you who have started following my blog recently: Thanks for following! I'll try to go and check out all of your blogs. Sorry it's taken so long!
To Jennifer at God's been Good (about you and Jonathan): Oh Jennifer, that is so wonderful! I, too, have been praying for you, so my prayers, as well, have been answered. That is so encouraging to me. It helps me remember that good things come to those who wait! I will be praying for you both to have guidance and that the Lord will bless you both!
to Katie at In the Hand's of Gods: I hope you feel better! Being sick is no fun!
I could probably put a lot more, but, I'll just leave it at that.... Thanks for understanding everyone!
